I kind of slacked last year about posting a "tip of the week" on Mondays. Well, I'm back baby!
Today's tip is one that I got from the very wise author at Simply Homemaking. She posted it at some point last year, and it's been a total godsend with canning.
After removing jars from her canner, she uses a crayon to mark the date and product with crayon on the lid. The lid is so hot that the crayon instantly "melts" on for a great label. Here is my version of the tip using a white crayon that I stole from Jack. Shhhhhh, don't tell him.
Gone are the days where I'm guessing which item I canned in 2011 or the year before. Genius! Thank you Yolanda!Labels: Cheap trick
