Organizing your week. Throughout the week.

This week's cheap trick shares with you how I keep all the balls that I'm juggling up in the air and off the ground.

At the start of each week, I take a scratch piece of paper and fold it in to six squares.
One square is dedicated to my grocery list (and another square of Costco if I'm making a trip.
One square is for any little recipes I might jot down during the week to try.  Other squares are for my meal planning, and additional errands I might need to run on the weekend.
I keep this in my purse and should an idea strike me at some point during the week, I have it right at hand.  No longer does Saturday come and I think "what the hell did I need from the grocery store".

  1. Stealing this idea. I normally try a designated moment for creating shopping list, but by that time, I am bound to have forgotten some thing(s). I need to also keep a list either near the fridge or in the actual pantry. I have caught myself so many times thinking "I should really buy more X" while looking at the pantry looking for stuff, then forget all about it.

    1. We had a magnetized dry erase board that we used to keep on the fridge, but it got lost in the move. Now we just write on the sliding glass door in the kitchen with a dry erase marker!

  2. I do this all the time on my phone! I can have as many lists as I want going. I even keep a list of places I want to visit or photograph so if I have a day of being bored I pick something from the list!

    1. How fun! What a great idea. I have a few lists on my phone as well, but find that sometimes the old standby (paper) works best.
