  2. I'm so sorry you have the "wild" peacock. My mom had them on our farm when I was a kid and they would scare the sh@# out of me at night when they would call. I always imagined a horror flick would sound like calling peacocks.

    1. I grew up in this house so I'm used to it. But when we first moved here, Troy assumed a woman was being murdered every single night! The peacock "call" is indeed hair-raising!

  3. Hi, I recently discovered your blog and I'm in love with it already. When I was looking through Pinterest today, saw this recipe. I remember you saying that you are looking for Organic Mozarella. Thought you might like to try this - http://heart-hands-home.blogspot.com/2011/01/homemade-mozzarella-cheese.html

  4. I grew up in Cardiff (South Wales) and there are peacocks living in the castle grounds - right in the centre of town. I now live on New Zealand's South Island & I didn't realise how much I missed the sound of them calling until the town aviary got a breeding pair. If I close my eyes it's like being home again but without the traffic :)
Love the blog BTW and am a fan on facebook

    1. How many peacocks did you grow up with? What a cool memory, and so glad you've found the "sound of home" again!

      Thanks so much for reading!
