What is POOP in 15?  It is a series for people who want more order in their lives, but don't have a lot of time to devote to doing it.

Today's task/challenge is an easy one for some, but challenging for many others.  I'm an extrovert, and Jack is an extrovert; we'd both talk to a fish tank and be fine with it.  However, some people would rather lose a toe than give a speech in public.  So, take a few deep breaths depending on your social preference before reading this one.

Today, you need to give THREE honest compliments to a stranger.

:pauses for comments of "um so...?" and for others to puke:

I can't tell you how much a comment of "I like your shirt", "you did a really great job on that presentation", or "you have a great hair cut" can brighten my day.  And when it comes from someone I don't know?  It puts a bigger smile on my face.

Today you get to do that for someone.

The comment has to be realistic, honest, and genuine.  If the idea of saying something nice to a stranger freaks you out, start with someone you might have to talk to anyway, like the clerk at the grocery store.  Instead of answering "fine" when they ask you how you are, say something like "I'm doing great, thanks for asking.  I always like being in your line because you are so friendly to all your customers".  It doesn't have to be complicated.

Why are you doing this?  Does this help keep your house clean, or assist you in creating wholesome food?  Absolutely not.  BUT, part of living a balanced life includes external and internal balance.  When I come home from a crap day at work, my motivation in getting crap done is nil.  I want to just sit on the couch, snack, and zone out by watching Hulu.

However, when I've had a good day and have been able to have a positive impact on myself and others?  I'm ready to bust my ass and knock out some work.

So, what do you think?  Can you do it?
